If you are a Veteran in Geauga County, Ohio and are in need of emergency housing repairs, contact us today for information on a special program that is being offered to Honorablby Discharged Geauga County Veterans.
YOU MUST BE THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY AND ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE UP TO DATE . THAT INCLUDES HOUSE PAYMENTS AND ANY REAL ESTATE TAXES DUE TO THE COUNTY. AN APPLICATION FOR THIS PROGRAM MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR APPROVAL.
CERTAIN INCOME GUIDELINES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET.
What is considered an emergency home repair?
- Roofing leaks
- No heat
- No water/sewer
- Electrical issues
- Safe, sanitary and secure issues
- Interior rehab for medical reasons
- Wheelchairs ramps if needed per medical reports
Some items that may be considered emergencies if the home has been cited by code enforcement inspectors:
- Painting
- Siding
- Concrete
- Railings
- Exterior stairs
- Garages
Items that are not under consideration in program:
- Windows for efficiency
- Upgrades of any mechanicals
- Kitchen remodels
- Bathroom remodels
- Interior painting
- Exterior painting
- Landscaping
- Concrete
- Other aesthetic value issues
